In anticipation of delivery, the baby positions itself with the head down towards the pelvis and sheds lanugo hairs. At any point between week 35 and 40, your little one will let you know he's ready to make a grand entrance and give you your first glimpse at 40 weeks of amazing development.

It's show time... "bloody show" time, that is! You can lose your mucous plug (which has sealed your cervix, keeping it free from germs and bacteria during your pregnancy) up to two weeks before you deliver. You may lose the plug all at once, or it may happen over a period of time. The mucus will be blood-tinged, hence the term, "bloody show."
It is very important to stay hydrated at this point in your pregnancy. Labor could start at anytime and you and your baby need your energy to be at its peak.
