Your Baby
While continuing to plump up, the baby is sensitive to the world around him, responding to light, sounds, and making faces.
You
Around this time, the baby drops lower in your pelvis (the lightening), and you can breathe again. But here's the trade off, you can't walk--just waddle. How can you do anything else with what feels like a bowling ball between your legs?
Be aware of any sudden swelling of your feet, hands, or face. Gradual swelling that progresses as the day goes on is normal, but rapid swelling is not and could be a sign of preeclampsia. Call the doctor right away if you are concerned.
Also pay attention to how often your baby is moving. If you notice that he/she is moving less frequently, do a kick count and call your doctor.
