Highland Hall Waldorf School Offers a Summer Camp with Good Old Fashioned Fun at its Best!
Parents have been asking a stress-free alternative in summer camp for their children; a camp that offers a magical environment where their children can relax while learning, a place where they will be gently cared for, while exploring, creating, and enjoying good old fashioned fun! Highland Hall Waldorf School aims to build on its 55 year history as the west coast's oldest Waldorf school and fulfill that dream this summer as it launches its first summer day camp.
On the beautiful, lush, rolling hills of its 11 acre campus, children from 3 1/2 years to 7th grade will enjoy fun, inspiring, age appropriate, Waldorf-themed activities led by experienced teachers and camp counselors. The program is designed to engage the child's imagination and sense of wonder with a variety of meaningful and enriching activities, creating a summer filled with lasting memories with new and old friends.
Activities for Lower School Campers (2nd - 7th grade) will include theater arts, wood working, games, art, hand crafts, gardening, storytelling, music and sports with access to the air conditioned gym, classrooms, wood shop, sports fields, shaded play areas and vegetable gardens.
Early Childhood campers (3 1-/2 - 1st grade) will enjoy outdoor play, water play, baking, cooking, storytelling, art, hand crafts, creative play in our enchanted garden, complete with safe sturdy equipment and shaded sandbox, or in our lovely classrooms with beautiful handmade, natural toys.
No competition, no stress...all fun...for after all, as Albert Einstein once wrote, "Play is the highest form of research."
Week-long sessions run from July 2 - August 1 from 8 - 3 with extended care available.
