Camp Information

We are the premier Circus Arts Camp in Westchester since 1989! Every summer from late June through early August, our campers become circus folks as they master juggling, clowning, unicycling, trapeze, aerial arts, wire-walking, stilts and more at this day camp for ages 7+ (entering second grade). Three 2-week sessions, are held in the air-conditioned, state-of-the-art gyms of the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester Upper School Campus in Hartsdale.

Each 2-week session ends with a fabulous circus performance featuring all our campers showing off their favorite skills. Our final week in mid-August, Aerial Arts Week, is five full days devoted to learning and refining skills on the trampoline, the Spanish web, the lyra, the static trapeze, and the grand-daddy of all circus arts—the flying trapeze.

We are the first and still the only place in Westchester where you can learn to fly! Our evening instruction in the flying trapeze for adults has also become quite popular. (See our Web site for details.)

CAC’s directors are accomplished circus performers who have worked throughout the world. They have been refining their instructional methods for more than two decades, and the percentage of returning campers each summer attests to the success of their approach, and the amount of fun their campers experience. All CAC teachers and coaches are trained in appropriate skill-level development and spotting techniques, as well as being certified in professional safety. Only regulation matting and spotting belts are used, and an industry-certified rigger installs and maintains all equipment.

Our program is dedicated to teaching children how to be creative, confident, and safe, while ensuring lots of fun! Our curriculum strives to refine both physical and presentation skills in all its participants, bringing them together in a closing performance that challenges, as well as showcases, each student's level of accomplishment. Every individual is allowed to shine.

After-camp care is available for all sessions with flexible scheduling; tuition includes a healthful lunch and daily snacks. We offer sibling discounts for additional registrations within the family. Accomplished campers with previous circus arts training aged 14 and over can apply for CIT status in our regular sessions (see our Web site for details and an application).

Please note: We are no longer affiliated with Future Stars Camps held at SUNY-Purchase.
