LIST A FEW ACTIVITIES:
Camp kids learn new skills, discover new interests, and make new friends! “Awesome Art Packs” are back this year offering combinations of our most popular camps while providing children the opportunity to sample different art disciplines. The sessions take place over two to three week time periods allowing kids to experience Visual Arts, Drama, Dance and Music.

In addition to the other camp offerings, the Arvada Center is known for its Theater Camp programs. This year’s Summer Teen Intensive show selection is the wildly popular musical Footloose. This five week camp for kids ages 13 – 18, involves working with the Arvada Center Production team—directors and choreographers in staging the production and will include intensive studying the areas of dance, music and acting. Students will learn about the entire production process in addition to the roles that they perform. New this year is the Technical Theater Teen Intensive: Footloose. A limited number of technical theater students will be admitted into this program to assist stage management and other technical tradesmen in conjunction with the Teen Intensive.

The Arvada Center also offers theater camp sessions where kids get to learn and act in both musical and non-musical plays. There several options where kids will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform shows including Once Upon a Mattress, The Wizard of Oz, Outrageous Fortune, Macbeth and Once on This Island. Friends and family are invited to see the kids perform each of the plays on stage to celebrate their theatrical achievements!
