The Eco-Festival is Coming to Town

Eco-Festivals, Inc. – a nonprofit organization that encourages people to live simple and cost-effective green lifestyles — is teaming with leading environmentally-conscious vendors and experts for its first annual Eco-Festival on Aug. 29 and 30 at Bishop Ranch Civic Center in San Ramon. The free two-day event will offer attendees of all ages tools to become more eco-friendly in a fun and inspiring atmosphere that includes performances by Zoo Station and SteveSongs, a kids’ zone with solar/bio-fuel powered rides, an organic food court, vendors featuring the latest sustainable goods and services, an organic-materials fashion show, an electric and hybrid auto zone with tips on sustainable car care, an on-site job fair for green careers, and lively chatter from celebrity experts such as Ed Begley Jr., Susie Coelho, and several HGTV stars.

 

San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch Civic Center is located at 6200 Bollinger Canyon Road. Event hours will be Saturday, Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit eco-festivals.org.
