Toddler Beds Recalled

Graco Children’s Products is recalling about 1.2 million toddler beds sold between 1994 and 2001 because of an entrapment hazard. The products were sold at discount, department and children’s product stores nationwide under the names “Cozy Toddler Bed,” “Glow-in-the-Dark Toddler Bed” and “Classic Toddler Bed” for between $50 and $70.

A label on the bed’s guardrail or leg contains one of the following model numbers: 8801, 8801WR, 8821, 8824, 8828, 8833, 30066, 34434 or 11030.

The white plastic and steel beds are being recalled because a child’s leg could become caught between the slats in the bed’s guardrails and footboard, resulting in injury. Customers should remove the guardrails and call Graco toll-free at 800-837-4404 for a free retrofit kit featuring a custom-designed mesh covering to attach to the guardrails and footboard.
