Spring Break Roundup: The Rodeo’s In Town!

Just in time for Spring Break, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo rides into town with 20 days of star-studded entertainment and Texas-style family fun. From March 1-20 at Reliant Park (Loop 6-10 at Kirby) enjoy kid-friendly attractions such as Destination AGventure, a live animal exhibit and tour of the agricultural industry; Petting Zoos with baby deer, wallabies, llamas, Chinese silky chickens, exotic miniature goats, potbellied pigs and more; milking, cotton ginning and weaving demonstrations; “Rodeo University,” where you can learn how to be a Rodeo cowboy or cowgirl; Pig Races, Pony Rides, and of course, the always-popular Carnival, open for extended hours during Spring Break Stampede (March 6-18).

 

All daily attractions, such as livestock shows, open at 8 a.m. RODEOHOUSTON performances, including concerts, start at 7 p.m. on weeknights and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
