It’s important to eat right to increase stamina. The proper diet for outdoor enthusiasts should contain 55-60 percent carbohydrates, 10-15 percent protein and the remaining should come from fat. “Good fats” include nuts, seeds and avocados. Other suggested foods include pasta, whole grains (oatmeal, rice and bread), starchy vegetables (potatoes and corn), plus legumes and fibrous vegetables.
Most importantly – keep everyone hydrated. Offer water or sports drinks before, during and after outdoor play.
