Sports Medicine Bible for Young Athletes, by Lyle J. Micheli, M.D. and Mark Jenkins, Sourcebooks Trade, 2001. This book aims to educate parents and coaches so they can have better programs with fewer problems. It provides a background on the organization of youth sports, goals, philosophy, possible injuries and their treatment.

Sports Medicine for Parents & Coaches, by Daniel J. Boyle, M.D., Georgetown University Press, 1999. Written by a family physician certified in sports medicine, this book focuses on preventing and treating sports-related injuries. It includes a glossary of medical terms, as well as illustrations of injuries and preventive exercises.
