Is Your Used Crib Safe?

Before you put your baby to sleep in a used crib, check to be sure it's safe. A safe crib has --

¢¾ A firm, tight-fitting mattress

¢¾ No loose, missing, or broken hardware or slats

¢¾ No more than 2 3/8" between the slats (about the width of a soda can)

¢¾ No corner posts over 1/16" high

¢¾ No cutout designs in the headboard or footboard
