Assessing Acupunture/Acupressure
A centuries-old practice, Accupuncture/Accupressure has proven an effective (and pain-free) method for turning breech babies.
For centuries, the Chinese have used acupuncture to relieve aches and pains associated with pregnancy, but only recently have Western medical researchers studied acupuncture’s possible benefits for fertility, pregnancy, labor and postpartum.

Alternative Birthing Methods: Which One is Right for You? |
This is not news to acupuncturist Laurel Brody. As a mother’s due date approaches, Brody uses acupuncture to induce labor or turn breech babies. She says she has successfully used moxibustion to turn more than 40 breech babies.
During labor, Brody uses acupuncture and acupressure for pain control and to help women get “unstuck” from specific spots in labor.
“If the baby gets stuck, the energy is stuck,” Brody says. “Through vitalizing and moving the energy, it encourages the woman to get going into her next stage of labor.”
