- Max File Size: 40KB on initial load
- Animation loops - 3 frames max - :15 seconds total
- Up to 3 additional downloads of 40KB each after the user moves their cursor over or clicks
- Floating time is limited to 10 seconds
- Expandable units must be user-initiated with a mouse over or a click
- Sound must be user-initiated
- Prominent Close button must be on top right corner for all expandable units

Parenthood.com supports a variety of rich media technology including:
- Flash (most versions)
- EyeWonder (streaming video)
- EyeBlaster (DHTML/Flash)
- Pointroll (DHTML/Flash)
- Sound must be user-initiated

- We recommend publishing using Flash 10.0.
- No sound may play automatically in the ad and must be user-initiated. All sounds are subject to approval by Parenthood.com.
- Your Flash file must not exceed 40K (for specific ad unit file size limits, please contact us for detailed ad specifications).
- Flash movies may not exceed 18 frames persecond-12 is recommended.
- All Flash ad units must be accompanied by both the SWF and FLA files as well as an alternate image (GIF or JPG) of the same dimension. Image must meet the file size specs for that ad size. There is no need to include HTML files with your submission.
- All creative is subject to approval by Parenthood.com.

Expandable Rich Media Guidelines
- Expansion must be user- initiated by mouse-over or click.
- Panel must retract as soon as the user withdraws the mouse.
- 300x250 max expansion: 200 pixels up, down, or left.
- 728x90 max expansion: 350 pixels down.

Floating Rich Media Execution Guidelines
NOTE: The following specifications refer to Floating Ad types used as a entry take-over or run-of-site ad unit.
- Prestitial (entry takeover) cannot exceed 800x600 pixel dimension and must include Parenthood.com logo no smaller than 153x35 pixels.
- ROS floating ad units cannot exceed 300x250 pixel dimension
- Must be served by a 3rd-party.
- Impression and click tracking must be made available by 3rd-party server.
- 10 seconds maximum play limit from time it appears until it
disappears into the leave behind or reminder unit.
- A clear and prominent close button must be visible above the page
fold (800x600 resolution) during the entire ad animation.
- "Hide iFrame" functionality is not permitted without prior approval.
- Leave behind or reminder unit - Can be tied to and land in any of the
traditional ad spots (banners, skyscapers,..etc); however, Instant download/play technology must be used when doing so. Inventory is limited.
- Leave behind or reminder unit - If not tied to a traditional ad spot,
leave behind cannot exceed 300x250 pixel dimension and must have a clear and prominent close button.
- Leave Behind or reminder unit - Maximum play limit of 15 seconds
from time it appears until it disappears.
- Leave behind or reminder unit - Cannot contain any audio.
- A minimum frequency cap of 1 per user per 20 minute session will
be placed on all floating ad creatives.
- Must open a new browser window upon click. Use on all HREF's.
- Can launch daughter window (popup) only when user initiated by
click.
- Turn-around time for implementing: 3-5 business days.
